Toni Troutman founded B.F. Watson Accounting Services after nearly three decades in accounting, working closely with builders, remodelers, and the trades that serve them. That work extends to property management—an industry running on the same subs, the same 1099s, and the same job-by-job math.
She started the firm after years of seeing the same pattern: a contractor would be told something was wrong with his books, and nothing past that would happen. The problem got named and left sitting there while jobs kept running and bids kept getting priced off numbers nobody trusted.
Her work goes well past bookkeeping, job costing, progress billing, deposits and prepaid costs, month-end close, and the senior review that catches a problem while it is still small—this is the controller-level work most construction books need and rarely get. It is the part of the job that takes judgement, and it is the part she keeps for herself.
She is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor— More to the point, She has rebuilt enough contractor ledgers to know where the trouble usually starts.

Lei Lani Bostic co-founded B. F. Watson and serves as Chief Operating Officer.
She runs the firm. Operations, reviews, and the people side. She answers questions as they come up so work never stalls waiting on a decision, reviews what gets produced before it moves forward, and trains everyone who touches a client file to the same standard.
She also watches the front door. Calls, emails, and call backs are hers—which is why things get answered here instead of collecting dust in your bookkeepers inbox.
